Asian Carrot Cilantro Juice

Today’s juice is a great compromise for those who are looking to stay with a relatively sweet flavor pallet while incorporating savory flavors  and maybe  even a bit of bit if bitterness. True green juices aren’t easy for everyone at first, especially those heavily inclined toward sweet juices. 

Think of today’s juice as a gateway to greener juices going forward. Having said that, this juice is no slouch nutritionally. The carrots in this beverage will provide you with beta-carotene and vitamin C. Additionally, the handful of spinach involved in this drink won’t go unnoticed by your body – spinach is one of the most nutrient-rich greens out there. It’s also fairly mild, which makes it a good gateway green drink green. And of course, the real star of this drink is the cilantro. As you tip this drink back, just think of your favorite Vietnamese dish and smile!


  • 1 Pound of carrots, greens and ends chopped off
  • 1 Handful of spinach.
  • 1 Medium apple
  • Cilantro to taste


  • Wash all ingredients thoroughly.
  • Wad up the spinach into a tight ball before feeding it into your juicer.
  • Juice all other ingredients.
  • To dial up the savory aspect of this drink, consider adding a bit of fresh ground pepper to the finished product. Alternatively, add a red or orange pepper to this beverage for a bit more sweetness.
