Asparagus is full of antioxidants. It’s also high in protein and a good source of the vitamins C, E and K. In recent trials, it has been shown to have tumor-reducing and anti-inflammatory properties. Asparagus also enjoys established status as a diuretic and can help stave off some of the symptoms associated with arthritis.

Asparagus Juice Recipe

Asparagus works well with sweet flavors like carrot – the recipe below remains faithful to this flavor palette.  We think you’ll like it. If it’s not sweet enough for you then add an apple. And if it’sstill not sweet enough for you, then add some maple syrup to really satisfy your sweet tooth.

Ingredients

  •           ½ pound of asparagus
  •           1 pound of carrots
  •           1 medium tomato

Directions

  1.           Rinse the asparagus. Don’t worry about chopping or trimming.
  2.           Rinse the Carrots. Lop their heads off.
  3.           High Five the tomato.
  4.           Juice it up.
  5.           Drink it up.
