Ingredients

  • 1 lb strawberries
  • 1 sweet apple
  • 1 tomato
  • 1-1 inch piece fresh ginger
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 3 carrots
  • 1 lime

Recipe

  • Wash all produce thoroughly
  • Remove tops from strawberries, carrots, and tomato
  • Core apple and slice to fit in juicer
  • Remove seeds from pepper and slice to fit in juicer
  • Peel lime
  • Juice all produce. If using a centrifugal juicer, juice carrots, apple, ginger, peppers, and lime first. It may be best to blend tomato and strawberries into the juice, depending on the quality of the centrifugal juicer
  • If using a masticating juicer, alternate hard and soft ingredients to best push all ingredients through the juicer. Pour water through juicer if anything becomes stuck
  • Blend all ingredients thoroughly and drink immediately for best results
  • If desired, you can use the pulp as a soup base. Add veggie broth, onions, and garlic to the pulp to make a thick, healthy soup that is perfect for curing the winter ills
