Bitter Sweet Cranberry Cleanse


This delicious bittersweet juice is just what you need to get your spring cleanse started! Cranberries have been shown to reduce the risk of urinary tract infections and may be beneficial to preventing stomach ulcers as well, due to the presence of proanthocyanidins which help to cleanse the body and remove bacteria that may otherwise accumulate. Spinach contains glycoglycerolipids which help to cleanse the GI tract and fat be beneficial in weight loss. Fiber from the apples and pears may also assist in cleansing the GI tract.

Cucumbers and celery both have strong anti-inflammatory properties, which can assist the body in cleansing the cardiovascular system. In there is inflammation in the blood vessels, all parts of the body may not be receiving proper circulation. This can lead to oxygen deprivation and a host of complications. Vegetables and fruits that have anti-inflammatory capabilities can help to bring circulation back to normal and reduce the risk of cancers as well as many other conditions.


  • 1 Pear
  • 1 Apple
  • 1 Celery stick
  • ½ cup Spinach
  • 1 Cucumber
  • ½ cup Cranberries


  • Rinse all produce thoroughly, soaking cranberries in water to remove all dirt
  • A blender or juicer may be used to combine these ingredients.
  • If using a blender, core apple and pear and chop all ingredients in one-inch pieces. Add one cup of water to ingredients and blend
  • If using a juicer, remove stem from apple and pear and chop all produce to fit in juicer
  • Juice apple, cucumber, and celery. Then juice cranberries, pear, and spinach for best results with a centrifugal juicer
  • Blend thoroughly to combine flavors
  • Serve immediately
