Blackberries in Paradise

With the long winter dragging out this year, it is important to break it up a little bit and be reminded of warmer times. This juice will give you a little taste of both spring and summer, with the luscious bitter-sweetness of both blackberries and pineapples. Kiwi and pear added to the mix sweeten in up just a tad, and mint leaves leave you with a crisp and fresh finish.

The combination of fruit in this juice will more than fulfill your daily requirement for vitamin C. A megadose of potassium, vitamin A, and magnesium will help to reduce inflammation from the common cold or allergies, while helping to reduce blood pressure and increase circulation. Hydration is a given with the electrolytes present in this juice.

The color of blackberries comes from anthocyanins. Anthocyanins have been found to protect the brain from age-related deterioration, and to help prevent dementia and Alzheimer’s. Blackberries have also been linked to urinary tract health.
