Blueberry Orange Pineapple Cocktail

blueberry-orange-pineappleToday’s juice is a sweet treat that combines the “super fruit” credentials of blueberry with the tried-and-true combination of orange pineapple juice. The sweetness of this juice makes it a great choice on a day when you’re having trouble getting up the motivation to juice. Anticipation of its flavor will get your taste buds tingling, and your body will appreciate the nutrition as well.

The oranges in this recipe serve as a great source of vitamin C. But beside their very real nutritional value, oranges provide a great value when juicing. Similar to celery on the vegetable side of things, oranges are very juicy. This means that even a couple can go a long way. Additionally, they’re quite inexpensive when bought in bulk and should always be available at your local supermarket. Consider making them a staple of your supermarket list.

Pineapple is a great, hydrating fruit – although you’ll want to use up all the pineapple soon after cutting it open, you’ll find that there’s quite a bit of meat inside. Also a great source of “juiciness,” pineapple works well to increase juice volume.

  • Carefully cut and peel the pineapple. Refrigerate the portion not being used for this recipe.
