Cranberries have a strong flavor and a kick that can cover the earthy greens and compliment the sweety apples in this juice. A smidge of ginger is added for pizzazz and its many health benefits, leaving you with a clean taste. If desired, this juice can be served at holiday gathering for a festive and healthy treat.

Since cranberries are harvested in the fall, this is the perfect time to find fresh ones at your local farmers’ markets and produce stores. Adding cranberries to your juice can provide you with a powerful tool to protect you against urinary tract infections and even ulcers due to their bacteria-removing properties. Over the past few years, scientists have identified many properties in cranberries that help to prevent and fight against cancers. Cranberries can help to protect against cancers such as prostate, breast, colon, and lung cancer.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups of fresh cranberries
  • 2 kale leaves
  • 2 pink lady apples
  • 2 inch piece of ginger

Recipe

  • Wash all produce thoroughly
  • Core and deseed apples, removing stems
  • Cut apples and kale as needed to fit in the juicer
  • If desired, for a holiday effect, you can juice the apples, cranberries, and ginger separately from the kale. Juice the kale afterward (after rinsing the machine) and carefully spoon the kale into the drink after mixing the rest of the ingredients well. This will give a red and green contrast that will look festive for serving to guests
  • Just before drinking, mix thoroughly to combine all flavors
