Citrus Sensation Juice

This juice is tangy and sure to wake up your senses while giving you an energizing jolt to make it through your morning or the rest of your day. Featuring citrus and more citrus, this juice comes power-loaded with vitamin C and also supplies some of the vitamin A and calcium needed for a healthy and well rounded daily diet. Depending on the variety of citrus used, this juice can be very bitter or semi-sweet. If sweeter juice is preferred, opt for a ruby red grapefruit variety and ask which varieties of oranges are sweeter at the produce store, as this can vary from region to region. If the juice is still too bitter or tangy, a pear can be added to sweeten the juice.Citrus fruits contain a range of antioxidants that can help to protect skin and the cardiovascular system. Although high in natural sugars, grapefruit and oranges have low glycemic index scores, so blood sugar will not spike as quickly as with other foods and beverages which are high in sugar. Citrus fruits also contain flavonoids, which have been shown to reduce inflammation and may help to protect the body against cancer causing carcinogens. 


  • 5 oranges
  • 1 large grapefruit
  • 1 lemon


  • Rinse all produce thoroughly
  • If using a citrus juicer, slice fruit down center and juice
  • If using a centrifugal or cold press juicer, peel all citrus, and discard loose seeds
  • Send  all fruit through juicer
  • Strain juice if desired to remove any seeds or pulp that may have come through while juicing
  • Mix thoroughly to combine flavors
  • Serve fresh for best flavor and nutrition
  • If juice will be stored, store in an opaque container made of glass for no more than 24 hours, for best results
