Electrolyte Recharge with Almonds

This delicious juice uses the protein and potassium in almonds to help heal muscles and replenish energy after a workout or strenuous activity. While a cold-press juicer can be used, the best results will come from using a high-powered blender. If a cold press juicer is used, the water is not necessary. The sweet potato, apple, and oranges combine to make this juice tasty and tangy, awakening the taste buds while recharging the immune system. 

Almonds are an often-overlooked addition to juices that can add a multitude of benefits. With a very subtle flavor, almonds can easily be added to most juices to pack a ton of protein, and almost twice as much potassium as bananas. Almonds also help to lower bad cholesterol, promote weight loss, and protect again heart disease and heart attacks. In addition, almonds contain L-carnitine and riboflavin, which boost brain activity, reduce stress, and can help prevent Alzheimer’s disease.


  • 2 oranges
  • ¼ cup almonds
  • 1 apple
  • 1 sweet potato
  • ½ cup water

  • Rinse all produce thoroughly
  • Peel oranges and remove seeds
  • Core apple and cut into 1 inch pieces
  • Cut sweet potato into 1 inch pieces
  • Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth
  • Strain juice if desired
