Acai JuiceWe’re all busy at this time of year, and it can be difficult to find time to take a breath and recharge. We’re assailed on all sides by ads for energy drinks that claim to offer fast energy, but at what cost? The truth is that many of these drinks are loaded with refined sugars, which provide a quick spike in blood sugar followed soon after by a crash which leaves you with even less energy than before. The energy-boosting juice below is a good alternative to traditional energy drinks. Although it’s sweet in taste, it’s full of natural sugars which are more slowly broken down. Plus this juice is loaded with vitamin C, anti-oxidants and potassium, all of which will help you recharge and get back to your busy life. Due to their anti-oxidant power (and also for the sake of variety), we’ve included acai berries in this recipe. As they might be hard to find depending on your location, feel free to substitute blueberries instead. The results will be no less tasty!
Ingredients 

  • ½ Pound of acai berries (pronounced “ ah-sah-EE”)
  • Two oranges
  • Two apples
  • Ginger to taste
Directions 

  • Give all involved ingredients a good rinse
  • Juice it all up
  • Drink it down, and then see how you feel in half an hour or so.
