Who knows, you may be inspired to work out during half time and then start your own football game after the big one is over.Popeye’s plant of choice was no mistake; spinach provides your body with both instant and prolonged energy when consumed in juice. For a great boost of energy, try a mix of high-octane greens such as spinach and kale. These wonder greens will provide you with protein, iron, vitamin C, and a host of antioxidant power to help your body cleanse and rejuvenate itself. 

Ingredients

  • 4 leaves kale
  • 1 cucumber
  • 3 cups spinach
  • 5 sticks celery
  • 1/2 bunch parsley

Directions

  • Rinse all produce thoroughly. To clean hearts of kale and spinach, fill a sanitized sink with water and add greens. Soak for a few minutes, gently pressing on leaves to release dirt. Skim leaves from surface of water and juice. It is not necessary to completely dry the spinach and kale, as excess water will mix into juice
  • Juice cucumber and celery
  • Juice kale, spinach, and parsley. These greens will clog the screen of a centrifugal juicer, so it is important to juice these greens last or clean the screen after juicing them to get the maximum amount of juice from any other vegetables being used.
  • If juice is too earthy, add half of a lemon or a small piece of ginger. These will add zestiness to the juice without adding sugar.
