How to make homemade apple cider

Unlike most fruits, getting the juice from apples is almost impossible. First of all, you would have to buy a least two pounds of raw apples to get enough raw apple juice to fill a small cup. So, the next best thing to apple juice is apple cider.

Apple cider is a very delicious drink served either hot or cold. To make this yummy drinking refreshment, gather the following items:1 lb. of peeled and cored red delicious apples
2 cups of brown sugar
4 tabespoons of cinnamon
1 tablespoon of nutmeg
5 quarts of waterNext, all you have to do it place these items in a very large cooking pot and allow them to boil for approximently 1 hour. When the water has evaporate from this mixture, about three quaters down, remove the pot from heat and strain the juice the liquid. You can strain the fruit by using a coffee filter and rubberband over the top of a ordinary water pitcher. Just pour the items from the pot into the picther, and thats it, the liquid strained from the apples is homemade apple cider. Yet, please add additional water to this concentrated cider according to how sweet the guests like it.
