Kitchen Sink Green Juice

This green juice is so named because it has everything in it but the kitchen sink! This is a great juice for beginner or veteran juicerheads that are looking to get many servings of fruit and vegetables in one shot. This juice is also mildly sweet and highly palatable, so it may be a good juice for easing in skeptical juicerheads or family members that do not enjoy the strong earthy flavor of most green juices. This juice will supply about one serving of leafy greens, one additional serving of vegetables, and one serving of fruit for daily intake. While whole fruit and vegetables should be consumed in addition to this juice to acquire the daily recommended intake of fiber and other nutrients that may be lost through juicing, this juice can help on the way to getting the recommended five or more servings a day.

  • 4 carrots
  • 4 celery sticks
  • 1 cucumber
  • 2 cups of spinach
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 gala or pink lady apple
  • 1 pear

  • Rinse all produce thoroughly
  • Remove tops from carrots, trim celery, and remove stems from pear and apple
  • Peel lemon for best results
  • Juice all produce, starting with the harder foods such as carrots, and ending with the pear and spinach. Spinach and pears are soft and produce a lot of pulp that may clog the juicer screen, resulting in less juice from anything juiced afterward
  • Mix the juice well to combine all flavors
  • Pour over ice is desired
  • Drink within fifteen minutes of juicing, for best results
