Pack in the Vitamin K with Broccoli, Beet and Carrot Juice

Known to help with blood clotting and believed to be beneficial in maintaining bone density in the elderly, vitamin K is important to the body. That is why this simple juice recipe is so good for you. Containing carrots and broccoli, both of which are good sources of vitamin K, as well as red beets, which are high in fiber and vitamin C, this is a really healthy juice. The carrots and beets are high in natural sugars but the broccoli has none so this helps to improve the general taste of the juice. In truth, broccoli is one of those rare vegetables that has no draw backs nutritionally.

  • 3 carrots
  • 1 medium-large bunch of brocolli
  • 1 medium-sized red beet

  1. Wash and separate out your broccoli into smaller florets that will fit your juicer.
  2. Peel and chop your carrots into smaller chunks.
  3. Peel and chop up your red beet into small machine suitable pieces, remembering to wear disposable gloves to prevent staining to your fingers.
  4. Juice all of your ingredients together and serve chilled either with or without the pulp left in.
