Raspberry Orange Juice

SummaryRaspberry Orange Juice

Although orange juice is available year-round, it is likely that the store-bought orange juice which you might drink during the wintertime isn’t from fresh sources – most orange juice companies store up on fresh oranges during the North American growing season, juice them, and then keep the juice preserved using complex industrial processes. So the only way to be sure you get fresh OJ during the winter is – you guessed it – juice it yourself!

In addition to being an undeniably delicious treat, this raspberry orange juice recipe is a real vitamin C booster. Vitamin C is the single most important water-soluble antioxidant in the body. As an antioxidant, it helps to limit the degree to which free radical affect cells and cause mutation. Vitamin C’s antioxidant properties can also help to keep LDL or “bad” cholesterol level down. This is because free radicals cause cholesterol to oxidize and stick to artery walls. So, more vitamin C= less free radicals + lower cholesterol. Now get juicing!
