Spinach has been cultivated for over 2000 years, mainly by the Chinese. The secrets of spinach have now made it to the West, however. Spinach is high in Vitamins C and A. Additionally, spinach is a good source of vitamin E – one of only four vegetables to carry a significant amount of this vitamin. When you juice spinach, you can make significant use of the protein and iron found in its leaves.

Spinach also may be helpful in avoiding cancer development and blindness late in life. This is because spinach contains a substance called lutein. Lutein has been proven to help protect against macular degeneration. Macular degeneration is the leading cause of blindness in the elderly. Studies showed that individuals who ate a significant amount of spinach and other lutein-rich foods were able to lower their risk of macular degeneration by a whopping 43 percent! So make this juice!

Ingredients

  • 3 Cups of spinach
  • 2 Cloves of fresh garlic
  • 1 Cup of parsley

Directions

  • Rinse all of the greens.
  • Peel fresh garlic cloves.
  • Juice it all up.
  • Promptly wash juicer parts to remove garlic odor from them.
