Sweet (and Tangy) Relief

watermelon-tomato-juice

With nothing but tomatoes and watermelons, this juice is very simple to make. The combination sounds a little strange, but can be an incredibly potent hangover cure. This juice may come in handy after a night of sipping champagne and martinis and waiting for the ball to drop.

The hydrating effect of the watermelon and the super dose of nutrients can help to get you feeling back to your old self in no time. The watermelon provides a bit of sweet and a lot of liquid, while the tomato helps to add substance and nurse your body back to health. Both ingredients contain plenty of lycopene, which is a powerful antioxidant.

Tomatoes have shown to help protect the bones, liver, kidneys, and bloodstream. Tomatoes often give an energy boost that can help you to wake up and get going after a late night. Watermelon has anti-inflammatory benefits and other properties that can be extremely helpful in relaxing muscles and allowing the blood to flow freely. This can help all of your organs and body parts to get plenty of oxygen, speeding any damage that was done with the partying.
