The Face of Green Juice

Summaryveggies
I saw this picture the other day, and was inspired to make my own face of these fruits and veggies-then juice them. The resulting juice was much more pleasant that I had anticipated, and chock full of healthy greens and nutrients. The kids had fun making the face with me, so they actually wanted to try my green juice for the first time. It was a fun little challenge, and one that got them more involved with veggies.

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces of Spinach
  • 3 -1 ¼ inch pieces of Ginger
  • 1 Carrot
  • 2 Celery sticks
  • 1 Orange, peel removed and separated into segments
  • 1 Cucumber sliced lengthwise
  • ¼ cup of Blueberries
  • 1 bunch Broccoli, separated
  • 1 Kiwi, peeled and cut in half

Directions
First we made the face, this was fun and family involving. To do this, we:

  • Spread the spinach out on the cutting board
  • Put the halved cucumber at the bottom for lips
  • Placed the three pieces of ginger down for eyes, nose, and mouth
  • Put the kiwi on top of the ginger base for the eyes
  • Cut off two small pieces of the carrot for eyelashes
  • Put the broccoli next to the cheek area
  • Put the orange slices up near eyes
  • Place the remaining carrot over top of the head
  • Place the celery sticks by the face, like arms held up
  • Place two blueberries over the kiwi for finish touch on eyes
  • Place blueberries over center of cucumber for teeth
  • Voila! Masterpiece! Take Pictures
  • Juice all fruits and veggies
  • Enjoy with family!
